Greta Van Fleet in Oakland
Imagine combining the style and confidence of Hendrix and Steven Tyler, the sound of Zeppelin and the talent of just about every other great rock band there is out there into a new and upcoming band. That is what I had always hoped for but never knew I'd be able to find, unless I had a time machine, until one day when I came across Greta Van Fleet. I was only about 15 seconds into one of their songs before I pressed pause, found their website and sent out an email because I knew I had to work with them. After months of working on keeping in touch, I saw that there were finally some of their concerts only a road trip away from me. I sent out an email thinking it's worth a try and when I got a response saying I could come photograph the show I packed up my car, bought a second camera and drove 7 hours up to Oakland. Being that most of my concert experience is at The Whisky a Go-Go or small clubs in Hollywood, I was shocked when I saw the lighting at the venue and took full advantage for my two songs.
